Oral Cancer Screening

Oral Cancer Screening is a detailed evaluation in which we examine your lymph nodes, lips, cheeks, tongue, mouth, neck, head, and throat for changes in their appearance and possible signs of disease. We also check to see if there are any sores or lesions present since these are some of the hallmark symptoms of oral cancer.

Other Symptoms of Oral Cancer

In addition to sores and lesions, oral cancer may manifest in other ways. Other common symptoms include:

• A lump in your neck or throat
• Loose teeth
• Pain when chewing, swallowing, or speaking
• Bleeding from your mouth
• White or red splotches in your mouth
• Unexplained weight loss
